The First United Methodist Church has a large 3,000 square foot wooden floor with a high ceiling on the second floor. There are many parking spaces on the street surrounding the church. There is a very large 600+ parking garage at the Cowper Parking Garage bounded by University, Hamilton, Cowper, and Webster just the next block. The FUMC is one block off University Avenue and Middlefield in downtown Palo Alto.

The dance is upstairs in the Fellowship Hall. Entrance to the Fellowship Hall is in the courtyard, with the door facing AWAY from the street.

Sometimes known as 'Lake Merrit Dance Center', "200 Grand", or 'Oakland Senior Center'.

The Oakland Veterans Hall is located at 200 Grand Avenue Oakland Ca 94610 corner of Harrison and Grand. A very large white building with several white pillars in front. Can't miss it. About 1 mile east of the Scottish Rite Center, where Gaskells is held, at the eastern edge of Lake Merrit.

The Oakland Veterans hall is a very large dance hall building with a total of 6 rooms available for dancing. It has a 3,500 square foot main ballroom with 100 chairs off the dance floor for socializing, two 1800 square foot dance floors, one 1200 square foot dance floor and two smallish 700 square foot dance floors.

The Main Ballroom is a beautiful 1920's high ceiling squarish room with rococo motifs in the ceiling. Equipped with state of the art sound system, the room has true air conditioning. The Hall is a 7 to 10 minute walk from the 19th Street Bart Station.

The Vets hall is a 1930's buildling with a 2,800 square foot wooden dance floor and a nice stage and pretty ceiling. The floor is fairly square in shape, very nice for waltzing. The Alameda Veterans Hall is located at the corner of Central and Walnut, across from Alameda High School, and is 2 blocks from downtown Alameda.

directions: from the south: North on 880 to 23rd Avenue. Exit 23rd Avenue. You will see a green sign on your left that says "Alameda left lane". Get in the left lane. Then you will see ANOTHER sign also on your left that says "Alameda left lane'. Immediately and carefully cross two lanes to get into the left turn/u turn signaled lane. Make a U turn at the light. You are now going back to Alameda. Go back over the 880 freeway. You are now on Park street. Follow the road for about .6 mile to the green painted bridge. Cross the bridge. the 6th stoplight is Central, turn right on Central. Go 2 blocks, the Alameda Veterans Hall in on the right corner of Central and Walnut. There is lots of free parking on the street within two blocks.

from the north: Take the 23rd Avenue exit. Follow the road as is meanders for about 1 mile to the green painted bridge. Cross the bridge. You are now on Park Street. At the 6th stoplight, turn right on Central. Go 2 blocks, the Alameda Veterans Hall in on the right corner of Central and Walnut. There is lots of free parking on the street within two blocks.

Centrally located for the Bay area in South Central San Francisco just off 280, Ocean and Phelan Avenues. A well known location for folk and swing dancing. From 280 westbound> right onto Ocean avenue>2/3 mile, right onto Phelan>200 yards, right onto Science Circle, main entrance to CCSF>150 yards, right at Y split>circle around to the back of campus> right at first Y, go downhill, follow downhill around back to North Gym, large buildings on left, about 600 yards. Entrance is in middle of the back of the building.
