8pm-9pm Intermediate Salsa

9pm-11pm dj Latin music

about half the dances are salsa,
with the rest are Bachata, Merengue, Cha Cha, Latin line dances, Latin mixers

a warm and welcoming dance

Salsa music is moderate tempo, very danceable, not loud

intermediate salsa class (8-9):

3.18 Fundamental Review: This session focuses on reinforcing core salsa techniques, including the basic step, cross-body lead, and fundamental lead/follow turns, ensuring a solid foundation for subsequent learning.
3.25 Fundamental Cross-Body Leads:Participants will refine their cross-body lead execution and explore turn variations including inside turns, outside turns, and break turns. This will enhance their understanding of leading and proper footwork.

4.01 Advanced Cross-Body Variations: This class introduces advanced cross body leads techniques, such as double turns, hammerlocks, and shoulder leads, empowering dancers to execute more sophisticated and visually engaging patterns.

 

4.08 Open Breaks and Partner Connections:Students will learn to incorporate open breaks and sweetheart positions, which will provide more expressivity and personality to the dance.

4.15 Combo Integration: This session concentrates on seamlessly connecting previously learned moves into extended combinations, enabling dancers to create fluid and captivating sequences on the dance floor.

4.22 Advanced Combinations and Styling:Participants will expand their dance vocabulary with unique combinations and styling elements, developing a distinctive dance persona and increasing their confidence in social dance settings.
