Lucas is especially happy to play many new tunes inspired by the extremely popular annual Eurovision song competition since 1956. The Eurovision Song contest is extremely popular. Each country sends one original song. Over 52 countries have participated. Most Americans are familiar with Eurovision due to the first performance of Riverdance.

Peggy is the founder of Santa Cruz Waltz & Swing, and has taught Waltz, Swing and Ballroom dancing since 2010 in Santa Cruz and in India, Uganda, China Korea and Japan.

She the first graduate of Palomar Ballroom's DVIDA Certified Teacher Training program

Peggy first learned Swing dancing at Avenues Ballroom San Francisco, while undergrad at SFSU. She works with international students at UC Santa Cruz, and Rotary Water projects in Uganda. She and husband Dr. Bob raised 4 great children in Santa Cruz. Peggy is currently an MFA graduate student at SJSU.

Put on your dancing shoes and step back in time to the roaring '20s at Berkley’s historic Hillside Club with "A Jazz Age Afternoon at Cabaret Hillside" hosted by The Academy of Danse Libre on Sunday, June 1, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. This afternoon of fun features captivating dance performances by our dancers and a live band that will transport you straight to the Jazz Age. Enjoy light refreshments while mingling with fellow enthusiasts. A beginner-friendly workshop will be offered at 1:30PM.  All proceeds support The Academy of Danse Libre's 2025-2026 season, helping us bring more dance to the community. Tickets are $40; don't miss this chance to swing into the past and support the arts!
